Tours
Backstretch Tours
Take a two-hour morning tour of the backstretch at Churchill Downs where you will see the horses out for training on the track, the stables and the pressroom. Breakfast in the trackside kitchen concludes the tour.
Equus Run Vineyard Tour
Located 50 miles from downtown Louisville, the Equus Run is a traditional vineyard. Tours and tastings are available as well as lunch.
Horse Farm Tours on Thursday, April 30
Visiting a horse farm while you’re in town is a uniquely Bluegrass kind of experience that you’ll long remember. With more than 450 horse farms in the region, there are many options to uphold this Bluegrass tradition.

Parties
Post Position Draw Party - Wednesday, April 29
The pageantry of Kentucky Derby Week officially begins Wednesday afternoon with the Post Position Draw held at 4th Street Live starting at 4 pm.
Press Party - Wednesday, April 29
The Press Party will be held at the Galt House Hotel & Suites, the official hotel of the Kentucky Derby and Derby Experiences from 7pm-10pm.
Barnstable Brown Party – Friday, April 30
This is the place to be the night before the Derby. It’s a black-tie affair, held at the Barnstable Brown mansion in Downtown Louisville.
Playboy Party – Friday, April 30
Crown Royal and Playboy team up to throw the most exclusive party in town during Kentucky Derby weekend. Held at Louisville’s Mellwood Arts & Entertainment Center.
Winner’s Circle Party – Saturday, May 1
Immediately following the last race, guest will depart for the Kentucky Derby Museum. The party celebrates the winning owner, trainer and jockey of the Kentucky Derby Race. |

Derby Experiences has seats available for guests at the toughest seat in town on the toughest weekend of the year.

Derby Experiences has the ability to schedule celebrity appearances! This year, former jockey Laffit Pincay, Jr. will be available for discussion and appearances..
